Tarasis Enterprises has been named a finalist in the Family Business CSR Award at the 2026 Family Business Awards.

The award recognises family businesses that demonstrate a meaningful and sustained commitment to their people, communities and wider social responsibilities.

For Tarasis, this commitment has always been part of how the business operates. Founded by Gerald and Mairead Mackle in 1995, the family-owned group has continued to grow across Ireland while remaining connected to the people and communities it serves.

The award entry highlighted the impact of iCare, Tarasis’ dedicated charitable initiative. Since its foundation in 2010, iCare has raised more than £350,000 and granted nearly 400 individual iCare Wishes, providing practical and personal support to individuals and families across Ireland.

It also recognised the work of Evolve, the women’s leadership and development platform founded by Mairead Mackle MBE. Through the Evolve Academy, more than 100 women have received access to structured learning, expert mentorship, professional networks and peer support.

Tarasis’ investment in its people formed another important part of the entry. Initiatives including the Thrive and Vibe Health and Wellbeing Committee, continuous professional development, access to an in-house counsellor and a healthcare cashback plan demonstrate the group’s commitment to creating a supportive workplace.

The entry also reflected Tarasis’ wider community partnerships and its approach to sustainability, including the use of agricultural waste and local farm by-products to generate renewable energy.

Being selected as a finalist recognises the collective contribution of people across the Tarasis group who bring these values to life through their work every day.

The winners will be announced at the Family Business Awards ceremony at The Johnstown Estate in County Meath on Thursday 5 November 2026.
