Mairead Mackle

Mairead is the Founder and CEO of Tarasis Enterprises. She is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, philanthropist, activist, investor, non-exec board member and a loving mother to seven wonderful children.

A passionate voice in values based leadership, female empowerment and using business for good, Mairead is actively working and collaborating to make an impact in these areas globally, nationally and locally.  Mairead’s passion for using the power of her business to create a better world led to the establishment of the Tarasis Foundation, which includes the iCare charity focused on ‘kindness without limits’ and Evolve, an educational community and platform actively supporting the social and economic empowerment of women.  To drive positive social impact in these spaces, Mairead sits on a number of key lobby groups and think tanks, and has also written a book, Evolve – Voices of Leadership which was published in 2021.

Mairead was awarded an MBE in the 2021 New Year’s Honours List in recognition of her contribution to economic development and was awarded the Irish Tatler Entrepreneur of the year 2019 and Woman of the Year at the Natwest Everywoman Awards. More recently, she was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at IMAGE PwC Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2024.
